Electric Fireplace Inserts can be placed in an existing fireplace opening or inserted directly into a wall.  These units provide the convenience of an electric fire with the ambiance of a gas or wood-burning unit.

Featuring many designs and styles, most inserts have a flickering flame effect to simulate a fire, and also serve as a heating source.  The heating unit can be turned off during warm weather, while still providing the effect of a fireplace.  Most can be plugged into an ordinary 120-volt electric outlet.
